At Temple Israel of Hollywood, we are committed to the collective support of the State of Israel. As a central component of our communal identity, Israel is integrated into our community by Temple wide programming, regular clergy led missions, the curriculum in our three schools, and through our organizational affiliations,
We regularly welcome speakers, sponsor programs and encourage engagement around key issues, dates, and festivals, acknowledging the complexity and challenges of modern Israel while also celebrating and supporting the achievements of the Jewish State. With community wide programs such as the 2012 debate between Peter Beinart and David Suissa, we have set the standard for adult civil conversation of issues related to Israel of concern to the American Jewish community.
Israel occupies a prominent role in the curriculum of all three schools highlighted by our Los Angeles-Tel Aviv Partnership. The partnership sponsors the 6th Grade Day School exchange program. Our students visit the
students in Israel and host students from Tzahala in their families' homes as well.
Our clergy lead regular educational trips to Israel. Join Temple Israel of Hollywood families, leadership & clergy on the journey of a lifetime!
