Temple Israel Nursery School offers a warm, creative environment in a Jewish atmosphere where each child’s own unique style of living and learning is valued and nurtured. Our school welcomes all families desiring a Jewish education for their child.


The foundation of personality, self image, and the motivation to learn are all firmly established in the first five years of a child’s life. Our school gives children the tools, space, and support for the kind of experiences that establish a positive sense of self. Children are encouraged to explore the world, to learn, to be a part of a group and work effectively with peers. Teachers help the children handle frustrations and solve problems in constructive ways. Learning is self-rewarding, productive, joyous, and non-competitive. Temple Israel Nursery School teaches the total child-emotional, social, intellectual, physical, and spiritual. Our program addresses the four most important tasks of early childhood education which continue throughout life: separation and the achievement of autonomy, language acquisition, communication skills, and socialization.


Activity centers provide for exploration and discovery in a non-hurried environment. Our main goal is to encourage social and emotional development through creative play experience. Language, math, art and music activities are provided daily as well as vigorous outdoor play. Parents are an integral part of the educational process and are invited to participate in Temple events and Jewish holiday celebrations.
