TIOH Capital Campaign
“Temple Israel of Hollywood is, metaphorically, an extended family living in a three bedroom, two bath home. We have a leaky roof, too small of a yard and only two parking spaces. It is time to fix our proverbial roof.
The vision of our Capital Campaign is to make our
Temple home whole and meet the physical needs of our excellent programs for the next 75 years. We need all of our members to participate to the greatest extent that we can. As a family, together, the time is now."
- Howie Mandel, TIOH VP of Development and Capital Campaign Chair
Through our Capital Campaign, we fulfill the mitzvah of providing for the future of our children and the Jewish community.
- The expansion will include a new Day School and
Religious
School facility, an expanded Nursery School and
Early
Childhood
Center ,
- an intimate 200-seat chapel with flexible seating for a variety of programs and events, secured parking for more than 200 cars, a new Library with nearly twice as much space, a Social Justice Center and Teen Center, a new playground and new gardens and outdoor gathering areas.
- We chose our architects, the award-winning team KoningEizenberg, for their experience and understanding of our “personality” as a warm, progressive, Reform community, and for their emphasis on creating environmentally-conscious buildings with respect for the heritage of existing spaces.
- Current pledges and commitments total more than $15 million. With your support, we expect to reach our goal of raising an additional $17 million.
-
Ground-breaking is anticipated in 2008.
