A Community Service of Temple Israel 

The tradition that is Hillside Memorial Park began in 1941 when 10 local Jewish leaders financed the purchase of the original land to be dedicated as a Jewish cemetery. In the more than half century that has passed since that time, Hillside has become the preeminent Jewish cemetery and mortuary in Southern California. Its tranquil grounds are a place to take solace at the time of bereavement, as well as a place of quiet beauty for visitors.  Hillside Memorial Park & Mortuary is a community service of Temple Israel of Hollywood.
