KleinI am humbled and honored to serve as President of Temple Israel of Hollywood. My husband, Ira Klein, and I have been members of TIOH since 1999 when our son, Benjamin, entered the Nursery School. However, we were married at the Temple in 1992 during the Los Angeles riots that occurred over the Rodney King trial. What a weekend that was! Our love and commitment to this temple have only grown since that eventful weekend. Our son attended the Day School and celebrated his Bar Mitzvah and confirmation at the Temple. He is now a sophomore at Duke University where he is involved with JStreet U. My involvement at the Temple began by participating on the Finance Committee for several years. I also chaired the Annual Giving Campaign at the Day School during its first years. I have held positions as Assistant Treasurer, Vice President of Administration, Vice President of Education and Vice President of Social Action and now President. Professionally, I work for Fannie Mae as the Vice President of Multifamily Customer Engagement – Borrower Relationships, Negotiated Transactions and Seniors Housing. I am responsible for a national team of professionals who manage all of our large Multifamily owners, investors and developers across the country, as well as structure and negotiate large multifamily loans. Prior to Fannie Mae, I had a political appointment as Executive Director of the California Debt Limit Allocation Committee in Sacramento with State Treasurer, Phil Angelides, where I ran the tax-exempt bond program for the State of California. I also serve on the board of Abode Communities, a non-profit affordable housing developer.

I am honored and blessed to be part of Temple Israel’s tremendous community, led by clergy and staff whose commitment know no limits and who have guided my family through all of our life changing events.
