I am honored to serve as Vice President of Administration and Governance for Temple Israel of Hollywood. My husband, Eric Krautheimer, and I joined TIOH in 2008, when we moved to Los Angeles from New York City. Our children, Elise and Evan attended the Nursery School, Religious School, and then Teen Program following their B’nai Mitzvahs. Soon after joining TIOH, I was the Co-Chair of the Nursery School Parent Association. I became a trustee in 2014, and soon became Vice President of Social Action. I co-chaired TIOH’s search for an Interim Rabbi and currently co-chair the Senior Rabbi Search Committee.

Professionally, I worked as a criminal and capital defense lawyer in New York City, and as the Director of Youth Justice Programs at the Vera Institute of Justice also in New York. Currently, I am a consultant for non-profits specializing in issues of risk, strategic planning and organizational management. I have served on the boards of New Los Angeles Charter School and Homeless Health Care. In 2016, I completed a fellowship for Jewish leadership with the Wexner Foundation, and currently serve on the North American Board for the Union for Reform Judaism as a member of the Oversight Committee, as Vice Chair of the Commission for Social Action for the Religious Action Center of the URJ, and as a coordinator of CLUE’s Black and Jewish Justice Alliance.

Our family loves the Temple Israel community. When we first moved to Los Angeles we were only committed to be here for three years; TIOH played a critical role in our decision to stay.
