My wife Susan and I joined the TIOH community nearly 20 years ago when our son entered the Nursery School. Since then, our children have gone through the Nursery School, Day School, B’nai Mitzvahs and have become thriving adults in college. While our kids were attending the Day School, I brought my experience of writing, directing and producing to the “Intergenerational Day” program and mounted several years of productions. Since then, I have remained committed to bringing creative and performing arts to TIOH and currently serve on the TIOH Arts Committee. Through our children, we were introduced to this amazing community, who were instrumental in Susan’s recovery from her horrific accident as detailed in my book, STRUCK: A Husband’s Memoir of Trauma and Triumph. It is these deep relationships with the TIOH congregants, clergy and staff that we cherish.
